위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 제11조(위치기반서비스사업의 휴업ㆍ폐업 등)

①위치기반서비스사업자가 사업의 전부 또는 일부를 휴업하고자 하는 때에는 휴업기간을 정하여 휴업하고자 하는 날의 30일 전까지 이를 개인위치정보주체에게 통보하고 방송미디어통신위원회에 신고하여야 한다. 이 경우 휴업기간은 1년을 초과할 수없으며, 휴업과 동시에 개인위치정보(사업의 일부를 휴업하는 경우에는 휴업하는 사업의 개인위치정보로 한정한다)를 파기하여야 한다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2015.2.3, 2018.4.17, 2025.10.1>

②위치기반서비스사업자가 사업의 전부 또는 일부를 폐업하고자 하는 때에는 폐업하고자 하는 날의 30일 전까지 이를 개인위치정보주체에게 통보하고 방송미디어통신위원회에 신고하여야 한다. 이 경우 폐업와 동시에 개인위치정보 및 위치정보 이용ㆍ제공사실 확인자료(사업의 일부를 폐업하는 경우에는 폐업하는 사업의 개인위치정보 및 위치정보 이용ㆍ제공사실 확인자료로 한정한다)를 파기하여야 한다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2018.4.17, 2025.10.1>
