전기통신사업법 제15조(사업의 시작 의무)

① 기간통신사업자는 등록한 날(「전파법」 제10조에 따른 주파수할당을 받아 새로 기간통신사업을 경영하려는 경우는 주파수할당을 받은 날을 말한다)부터 1년 이내에 사업을 시작하여야 한다. <개정 2018.12.24>

② 과학기술정보통신부장관은 기간통신사업자가 천재지변이나 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 제1항에 따른 기간에 사업을 시작할 수 없다고 인정하는 경우에는 기간통신사업자의 신청에 따라 그 기간을 연장할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26, 2022.6.10>
