정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보보호 등에 관한 법률 제44조(정보통신망에서의 권리보호)

① 이용자는 사생활 침해 또는 명예훼손 등 타인의 권리를 침해하는 정보를 정보통신망에 유통시켜서는 아니 된다.

② 정보통신서비스 제공자는 자신이 운영ㆍ관리하는 정보통신망에 제1항에 따른 정보가 유통되지 아니하도록 노력하여야 한다.

③ 방송미디어통신위원회는 정보통신망에 유통되는 정보로 인한 사생활 침해 또는 명예훼손 등 타인에 대한 권리침해를 방지하기 위하여 기술개발ㆍ교육ㆍ홍보 등에 대한 시책을 마련하고 이를 정보통신서비스 제공자에게 권고할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2014.5.28, 2025.10.1>
