건설산업기본법 제7조(건설 관련 주체의 책무)

① 정부는 건설공사의 품질과 안전을 확보하기 위하여 건설공사의 설계, 시공, 감리 및 유지관리에 관한 기준, 건설자재의 품질과 규격에 관한 기준 및 도급계약의 방법 등에 관한 사항을 정하여 보급하여야 하고, 건설사업자의 시공능력, 자본금, 경영실태 및 공사실적 등의 정보를 제공하기 위하여 노력하여야 한다. <개정 2019.4.30>

② 건설공사의 발주자는 시설물이 공공의 안전과 복리에 적합하게 건설되도록 공정한 기준과 절차에 따라 능력있는 건설사업자를 선정하여야 하고, 건설공사가 적정하게 시공되도록 노력하여야 한다. <개정 2019.4.30>
