Public Official Election Act, Article 237 (Crimes of Obstructing the Freedom of Elections)

①선거에 관하여 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 자는 10년 이하의 징역 또는 500만원 이상 3천만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다. <개정 2010.1.25>

1. 선거인ㆍ후보자ㆍ후보자가 되고자 하는 자ㆍ선거사무장ㆍ선거연락소장ㆍ선거사무원ㆍ활동보조인ㆍ회계책임자ㆍ연설원 또는 당선인을 폭행ㆍ협박 또는 유인하거나 불법으로 체포ㆍ감금하거나 이 법에 의한 선거운동용 물품을 탈취한 자

1. ②검사 또는 경찰공무원(사법경찰관리를 포함한다)이 제1항 각호의 1에 규정된 행위를 하거나 하게 한 때에는 1년 이상 10년 이하의 징역과 5년 이하의 자격정지에 처한다.

③이 법에 규정된 연설ㆍ대담장소 또는 대담ㆍ토론회장에서 위험한 물건을 던지거나 후보자 또는 연설원을 폭행한 자는 다음 각호의 구분에 따라 처벌한다. <개정 2004.3.12>

1. 주모자는 5년 이상의 유기징역

④제1항 내지 제3항의 죄를 범한 경우에 그 범행에 사용하기 위하여 지닌 물건은 이를 몰수한다.

⑤당내경선과 관련하여 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 자는 5년 이하의 징역 또는 1천만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다. <신설 2005.8.4>

⑥당내경선과 관련하여 다수인이 경선운동을 위한 시설ㆍ장소 등에서 위험한 물건을 던지거나 경선후보자를 폭행한 자는 다음 각 호의 구분에 따라 처벌한다. <신설 2005.8.4>
