① 공단은 보험료등의 납부의무자가 납부기한까지 보험료등을 내지 아니하면 그 납부기한이 지난 날부터 매 1일이 경과할 때마다 다음 각 호에 해당하는 연체금을 징수한다. <개정 2016.2.3, 2019.1.15>

1. 제69조에 따른 보험료 또는 제53조제3항에 따른 보험급여 제한 기간 중 받은 보험급여에 대한 징수금을 체납한 경우: 해당 체납금액의 1천500분의 1에 해당하는 금액. 이 경우 연체금은 해당 체납금액의 1천분의 20을 넘지 못한다.

② 공단은 보험료등의 납부의무자가 체납된 보험료등을 내지 아니하면 납부기한 후 30일이 지난 날부터 매 1일이 경과할 때마다 다음 각 호에 해당하는 연체금을 제1항에 따른 연체금에 더하여 징수한다. <개정 2016.2.3, 2019.1.15, 2024.2.6>

③ 공단은 제1항 및 제2항에도 불구하고 천재지변이나 그 밖에 보건복지부령으로 정하는 부득이한 사유가 있으면 제1항 및 제2항에 따른 연체금을 징수하지 아니할 수 있다.
