위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 제12조(이용약관의 공개 등)

① 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 자는 그가 제공하려는 서비스의 내용, 위치정보의 수집ㆍ이용 및 제공에 관한 요금 및 조건 등(이하 "이용약관"이라 한다)을 해당 사업자의 인터넷 홈페이지에 게시하는 등 대통령령으로 정하는 방법에 따라 개인위치정보주체 및 위치기반서비스사업을 이용하는 자가 언제든지 쉽게 알아볼 수 있도록 공개하여야 하며, 이를 변경하려는 경우에는 그 이유 및 변경내용을 대통령령으로 정하는 방법에 따라 지체 없이 공개하고, 변경된 사항을 쉽게 알아볼 수 있도록 조치하여야 한다.

② 방송미디어통신위원회는 제1항 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 자의 이용약관이 개인위치정보의 보호, 공정경쟁 또는 공공의 이익을 침해할 우려가 있다고 판단되는 경우에는 이용약관의 변경을 명할 수 있다. <개정 2025.10.1>
