공직선거법 제24조(국회의원선거구획정위원회)

① 국회의원지역구의 공정한 획정을 위하여 임기만료에 따른 국회의원선거의 선거일 전 18개월부터 해당 국회의원선거에 적용되는 국회의원지역구의 명칭과 그 구역이 확정되어 효력을 발생하는 날까지 국회의원선거구획정위원회를 설치ㆍ운영한다. <개정 2016.3.3>

② 국회의원선거구획정위원회는 중앙선거관리위원회에 두되, 직무에 관하여 독립의 지위를 가진다.

③ 국회의원선거구획정위원회는 중앙선거관리위원회위원장이 위촉하는 9명의 위원으로 구성하되, 위원장은 위원 중에서 호선한다.

(3) The^ð더 National내셔늘 Assembly어셈블리 Constituency컨스티추언시 Demarcation디마케이션 Commission커미션 shall섈 consist컨시스트 of어^v브 nine나인 members멤버즈 commissioned커미션드 by바이 the^ð더 Chairperson체어퍼슨 of어^v브 the^ð더 National내셔늘 Election일렉션 Commission,커미션 and앤드 its잇츠 chairperson체어퍼슨 shall섈 be비 elected일렉티드 by바이 and앤드 from^f프^r럼 among어멍 its잇츠 members.멤버즈

④ 국회의 소관 상임위원회 또는 선거구획정에 관한 사항을 심사하는 특별위원회(이하 이 조 및 제24조의2에서 "위원회"라 한다)는 중앙선거관리위원회위원장이 지명하는 1명과 학계ㆍ법조계ㆍ언론계ㆍ시민단체ㆍ정당 등으로부터 추천받은 사람 중 8명을 의결로 선정하여 국회의원선거구획정위원회 설치일 전 10일까지 중앙선거관리위원회위원장에게 통보하여야 한다.

⑤ 중앙선거관리위원회위원장은 국회의원선거구획정위원회 위원의 결원이 발생하는 때에는 위원회에 위원을 선정하여 통보하여 줄 것을 요청하여야 한다. 이 경우 위원의 선정 등에 관하여는 제4항을 준용한다.

⑥ 국회의원선거구획정위원회 위원의 임기는 국회의원선거구획정위원회의 존속기간으로 한다.

⑦ 국회의원 및 정당의 당원(제1항에 따른 국회의원선거구획정위원회의 설치일부터 과거 1년 동안 정당의 당원이었던 사람을 포함한다)은 위원이 될 수 없다.

⑧ 위원은 명예직으로 하되, 위원에게 일비ㆍ여비 그 밖의 실비를 지급할 수 있다.

⑨ 국회의원선거구획정위원회로부터 선거구획정업무에 필요한 자료의 요청을 받은 국가기관 및 지방자치단체는 지체 없이 이에 따라야 한다.

⑩ 국회의원선거구획정위원회는 국회의원지역구를 획정함에 있어서 국회에 의석을 가진 정당에게 선거구획정에 대한 의견진술의 기회를 부여하여야 한다. <개정 2016.3.3>

⑪ 국회의원선거구획정위원회는 제25조제1항에 규정된 기준에 따라 작성되고 재적위원 3분의 2 이상의 찬성으로 의결한 선거구획정안과 그 이유 및 그 밖에 필요한 사항을 기재한 보고서를 임기만료에 따른 국회의원선거의 선거일 전 13개월까지 국회의장에게 제출하여야 한다.

⑫ 국회의원선거구획정위원회에 그 사무를 지원하기 위한 조직(이하 "지원 조직"이라 한다)을 국회의원선거구획정위원회 설치일 전 30일부터 둘 수 있다. 이 경우 지원 조직은 중앙선거관리위원회 소속 공무원으로 구성하되, 국회의원선거구획정위원회가 설치된 후 필요하다고 판단되면 국회의원선거구획정위원회위원장은 관계 국가기관에 그 소속 공무원의 파견을 요청할 수 있다.

⑬ 국회의원선거구획정위원회 위원 또는 위원이었던 사람은 그 직무상 알게 된 비밀을 누설하여서는 아니 된다. 국회의원선거구획정위원회 지원 조직의 직원 또한 같다.

(13) Present프^r레전트 and앤드 former^f포머 members멤버즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 National내셔늘 Assembly어셈블리 Constituency컨스티추언시 Demarcation디마케이션 Commission커미션 shall섈 not낫 divulge디^v벌지 any에니 secret시크^r릿 learned런드 in인 the^ð더 course코스 of어^v브 their^ð데어 duties.두티즈 The^ð더 same세임 shall섈 apply어플라이 to투 employees엠플로이이즈 of어^v브 its잇츠 support서포트 organization.오거너제이션

⑭ 그 밖에 국회의원선거구획정위원회 및 지원 조직의 운영 등에 필요한 사항은 중앙선거관리위원회규칙으로 정한다.
