관세법 제256조의2(우편물의 사전전자정보 제출)

① 통관우체국의 장은 수입하려는 우편물의 발송국으로부터 해당 우편물이 발송되기 전에 세관신고정보를 포함하여 대통령령으로 정하는 전자정보(이하 "사전전자정보"라 한다)를 제공받은 경우에는 그 제공받은 정보를 해당 우편물이 발송국에서 출항하는 운송수단에 적재되기 전까지 세관장에게 제출하여야 한다.

② 세관장은 관세청장이 우정사업본부장과 협의하여 사전전자정보 제출대상으로 정한 국가에서 발송한 우편물 중 사전전자정보가 제출되지 아니한 우편물에 대해서는 통관우체국의 장으로 하여금 반송하도록 할 수 있다.

③ 통관우체국의 장은 사전전자정보가 제출된 우편물에 대해서는 제257조 본문에 따른 우편물목록의 제출을 생략하고 세관장에게 검사를 받을 수 있다. 다만, 통관우체국의 장은 세관장이 통관절차의 이행과 효율적인 감시ㆍ단속을 위하여 대통령령으로 정하는 사유에 해당하여 우편물목록의 제출을 요구하는 경우에는 이를 제출하여야 한다.
