도로교통법 제12조의4(보호구역에 대한 실태조사 등)

① 시장등은 제12조에 따른 어린이 보호구역과 제12조의2에 따른 노인 및 장애인 보호구역에서 발생한 교통사고 현황 등 교통환경에 대한 실태조사를 연 1회 이상 실시하고, 그 결과를 보호구역의 지정ㆍ해제 및 관리에 반영하여야 한다.

② 제1항에 따른 실태조사의 대상 및 방법 등에 필요한 사항은 교육부, 행정안전부, 보건복지부 및 국토교통부의 공동부령으로 정한다.

③ 시장등은 제1항에 따른 실태조사 업무의 일부를 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 「한국도로교통공단법」에 따른 한국도로교통공단(이하 "한국도로교통공단"이라 한다) 또는 교통 관련 전문기관에 위탁할 수 있다. <개정 2024.1.30>
