소방기본법 제40조(한국소방안전원의 설립 등)

① 소방기술과 안전관리기술의 향상 및 홍보, 그 밖의 교육ㆍ훈련 등 행정기관이 위탁하는 업무의 수행과 소방 관계 종사자의 기술 향상을 위하여 한국소방안전원(이하 "안전원"이라 한다)을 소방청장의 인가를 받아 설립한다. <개정 2017.12.26>

② 제1항에 따라 설립되는 안전원은 법인으로 한다. <개정 2017.12.26>

③ 안전원에 관하여 이 법에 규정된 것을 제외하고는 「민법」 중 재단법인에 관한 규정을 준용한다. <개정 2017.12.26>
