자동차관리법 제43조의3(자동차검사 관련 연구ㆍ개발 등)

① 국토교통부장관은 환경친화적 자동차(「환경친화적 자동차의 개발 및 보급 촉진에 관한 법률」 제2조제2호의 환경친화적 자동차를 말한다) 및 자율주행자동차 등 신기술이 적용된 자동차의 자동차검사기준 마련을 위한 자동차검사 관련 기술ㆍ기기의 연구ㆍ개발 또는 자동차검사 관련 기술ㆍ기기의 보급이 필요한 경우 제44조에 따른 자동차검사대행자에게 이를 수행하게 할 수 있다.

② 국토교통부장관은 제1항에 따른 연구ㆍ개발ㆍ보급을 수행하게 하는 경우 예산의 범위에서 그 비용의 전부 또는 일부를 지원할 수 있다.
