자동차관리법 제72조의2(자료의 요청)

① 국토교통부장관 또는 시ㆍ도지사(제77조제1항부터 제4항까지 및 제9항에 따라 그 권한을 위임ㆍ재위임 또는 위탁받은 자를 포함한다)는 자동차(이륜자동차 포함) 검사 및 관리업무의 효율적인 운영을 위하여 필요하면 국가기관, 지방자치단체, 「공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률」에 따른 공공기관, 「보험업법」에 따른 보험회사 및 보험료율 산출기관, 그 밖의 관계 기관 등에게 필요한 자료의 제출을 요청할 수 있다.

② 제1항에 따라 자료의 제공을 요청받은 자는 정당한 사유가 없으면 요청받은 자료를 제공하여야 한다.
