주민등록법 시행령 제22조(주민등록사항의 통보와 확인)

① 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 법 제15조제1항에 따라 주민의 성명ㆍ생년월일 및 주민등록번호와 이에 관한 정정 또는 말소사항을 별지 제12호서식에 따라 등록기준지(등록기준지가 「가족관계의 등록 등에 관한 법률」 제4조에 따른 신고지와 다른 경우에는 신고지를 말한다)의 시장ㆍ구청장 또는 읍ㆍ면장에게 알려야 한다. <개정 2009.8.13>

② 제1항에 따른 통보를 받은 시장ㆍ구청장 또는 읍ㆍ면장은 통보를 받은 날부터 3일 이내에 그 통보받은 사항을 가족관계등록부와 대조ㆍ확인하고, 서로 다른 사항이 있으면 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 별지 제13호서식에 따라 알려야 한다. <개정 2009.8.13>

③ 제1항에 따른 통보를 받은 시장ㆍ구청장 또는 읍ㆍ면장은 제1항에 따른 통보의 접수처리 상황을 별지 제14호서식에 따른 등록기준지 통보 접수처리부에 기록하여야 한다. <개정 2009.8.13>

④ 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 제2항에 따른 통보를 받아 주민등록표를 정리할 때에는 그 사유와 연월일 및 관계 공무원의 성명을 기록하여야 한다.
