Enforcement Decree of the Resident Registration Act, Article 35 (Issuance of Resident Registration Cards)

① 법 제24조제1항에 따른 주민등록증의 발급은 17세가 되는 달의 다음 달 1일부터 한다. 다만, 법 제24조제5항에 따른 재외국민 또는 해외체류자의 주민등록증의 발급은 다음 각 호에 따른 날부터 한다. <개정 2014.12.31, 2017.11.28>

② 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 법 제24조제1항에 따라 주민등록증을 발급하려면 법 제15조와 이 영 제22조에 따라 등록기준지의 시장ㆍ구청장 또는 읍ㆍ면장의 확인을 거친 후에 발급하여야 한다.

③ 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 재외국민 또는 해외체류자 중 17세가 되어 주민등록증을 발급받을 나이가 된 사람의 해외체류 사실을 확인하기 위하여 법무부장관에게 출입국자료를 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 법무부장관은 특별한 사유가 없는 한 그 자료를 제공하여야 한다. <신설 2014.12.31, 2017.11.28>
