지방자치법 제204조(의회의 조직 등)

① 특별지방자치단체의 의회는 규약으로 정하는 바에 따라 구성 지방자치단체의 의회 의원으로 구성한다.

② 제1항의 지방의회의원은 제43조제1항에도 불구하고 특별지방자치단체의 의회 의원을 겸할 수 있다.

③ 특별지방자치단체의 의회가 의결하여야 할 안건 중 대통령령으로 정하는 중요한 사항에 대해서는 특별지방자치단체의 장에게 미리 통지하고, 특별지방자치단체의 장은 그 내용을 구성 지방자치단체의 장에게 통지하여야 한다. 그 의결의 결과에 대해서도 또한 같다.
