공직선거법 제218조의21(재외투표의 회송)

① 재외투표소의 책임위원등은 매일의 재외투표 마감 후 투표참관인의 참관 아래 투표함을 열고 투표자수를 계산한 다음 재외투표를 포장ㆍ봉인(封印)하여 재외투표관리관에게 인계하여야 한다. 다만, 제218조의17제2항에 따라 설치하는 재외투표소는 공관과의 거리 등의 사유로 매일의 재외투표를 인계할 수 없는 부득이한 경우에는 해당 재외투표소 운영기간 종료 후 그 기간 중의 재외투표를 일괄하여 인계할 수 있다. <개정 2015.12.24>

② 재외투표관리관은 제1항에 따른 재외투표를 재외투표기간 만료일 후 지체 없이 국내로 회송하고, 외교부장관은 외교행낭의 봉함ㆍ봉인 상태를 확인한 후 중앙선거관리위원회에 보내야 한다. 이 경우 재외투표의 수가 많은 때에는 재외투표기간 중 그 일부를 먼저 보낼 수 있다. <개정 2011.7.28, 2013.3.23>

③ 중앙선거관리위원회는 제2항에 따라 인수한 재외투표를 관할 구ㆍ시ㆍ군선거관리위원회에 등기우편으로 보내야 한다.
