도로교통법 제80조(운전면허)

① 자동차등을 운전하려는 사람은 시ㆍ도경찰청장으로부터 운전면허를 받아야 한다. 다만, 제2조제19호나목의 원동기를 단 차 중 「교통약자의 이동편의 증진법」 제2조제1호에 따른 교통약자가 최고속도 시속 20킬로미터 이하로만 운행될 수 있는 차를 운전하는 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 2020.6.9, 2020.12.22, 2021.1.12>

③ 시ㆍ도경찰청장은 운전면허를 받을 사람의 신체 상태 또는 운전 능력에 따라 행정안전부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 운전할 수 있는 자동차등의 구조를 한정하는 등 운전면허에 필요한 조건을 붙일 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2014.11.19, 2017.7.26, 2020.6.9, 2020.12.22, 2021.1.12>
