사립학교법 제20조(임원의 선임과 임기)

① 임원은 정관으로 정하는 바에 따라 이사회에서 선임한다.

② 임원은 관할청의 승인을 받아 취임한다. 이 경우 교육부장관이 정하는 바에 따라 인적사항을 공개하여야 한다.

③ 이사장ㆍ이사 및 감사의 임기는 정관으로 정하되, 이사는 5년을 초과할 수 없고 중임(重任)할 수 있으며, 감사는 3년을 초과할 수 없고 한 차례만 중임할 수 있다.
