주택법 제71조(리모델링 기본계획의 수립권자 및 대상지역 등)

① 특별시장ㆍ광역시장 및 대도시의 시장은 관할구역에 대하여 다음 각 호의 사항을 포함한 리모델링 기본계획을 10년 단위로 수립하여야 한다. 다만, 세대수 증가형 리모델링에 따른 도시과밀의 우려가 적은 경우 등 대통령령으로 정하는 경우에는 리모델링 기본계획을 수립하지 아니할 수 있다.

② 대도시가 아닌 시의 시장은 세대수 증가형 리모델링에 따른 도시과밀이나 일시집중 등이 우려되어 도지사가 리모델링 기본계획의 수립이 필요하다고 인정한 경우 리모델링 기본계획을 수립하여야 한다.
