출입국관리법 제17조(외국인의 체류 및 활동범위)

① 외국인은 그 체류자격과 체류기간의 범위에서 대한민국에 체류할 수 있다.

② 대한민국에 체류하는 외국인은 이 법 또는 다른 법률에서 정하는 경우를 제외하고는 정치활동을 하여서는 아니 된다.

③ 법무부장관은 대한민국에 체류하는 외국인이 정치활동을 하였을 때에는 그 외국인에게 서면으로 그 활동의 중지명령이나 그 밖에 필요한 명령을 할 수 있다.
