국가경찰과 자치경찰의 조직 및 운영에 관한 법률 제15조(경찰청 차장)

① 경찰청에 차장을 두며, 차장은 치안정감(治安正監)으로 보한다.

② 차장은 경찰청장을 보좌하며, 경찰청장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 그 직무를 대행한다.
