소비자기본법 시행령 제10조(시험ㆍ검사 등의 요청)

①국가 또는 지방자치단체는 법 제17조제2항에 따라 소비자로부터 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사를 요청받은 경우에는 지체 없이 법 제17조제1항에 따라 설치된 기구와 시설(이하 "국공립검사기관"이라 한다) 또는 한국소비자원에 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사를 의뢰하여야 하며, 그 결과를 지체 없이 요청인에게 통보하여야 한다.

②국공립검사기관 또는 한국소비자원은 법 제17조제2항에 따라 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사를 의뢰받은 경우에는 의뢰를 받은 날부터 1개월 이내에 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사의 결과를 의뢰인에게 통보하여야 한다. 이 경우 1개월 이내에 그 결과를 통보할 수 없는 부득이한 사유가 있으면 그 사유와 통보기한을 정하여 의뢰인에게 알려야 한다.

③제2항에 따른 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사에 드는 비용은 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사를 의뢰한 자가 부담한다. 다만, 소비자의 요청에 따른 시험ㆍ검사 또는 조사의 경우에는 요청한 소비자가 그 비용을 부담한다.
