위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 제9조(위치기반서비스사업의 신고)

① 위치기반서비스사업(개인위치정보를 대상으로 하지 아니하는 위치기반서비스사업은 제외한다. 이하 이 조, 제9조의2, 제10조 및 제11조에서 같다)을 하려는 자는 상호, 주된 사무소의 소재지, 사업의 종류, 위치정보시스템을 포함한 사업용 주요 설비 등에 대하여 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 방송미디어통신위원회에 신고하여야 한다. <개정 2007.12.21, 2008.2.29, 2015.2.3, 2018.4.17, 2025.10.1>

②제13조제1항에 따른 사업의 폐지명령을 받은 후 1년이 지나지 아니한 자(법인인 경우에는 그 대표자를 포함한다)는 제1항에 따른 위치기반서비스사업의 신고를 할 수 없다. <개정 2018.4.17, 2020.6.9>

③ 제1항에 따라 위치기반서비스사업의 신고를 한 자는 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 사항을 변경하려는 경우 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 방송미디어통신위원회에 변경신고를 하여야 한다. <개정 2018.4.17, 2020.6.9, 2021.10.19, 2025.10.1>

④ 개인위치정보사업자가 제5조제1항에 따른 등록을 신청한 때 제1항에 따른 위치기반서비스사업의 신고(제9조의2제1항 본문에 따른 소상공인등인 경우에는 같은 항 단서에 따른 신고를 말한다)에 필요한 서류를 첨부한 경우에는 제1항에 따른 위치기반서비스사업의 신고(제9조의2제1항 본문에 따른 소상공인등인 경우에는 같은 항 단서에 따른 신고를 말한다)를 한 것으로 본다. <개정 2018.4.17, 2021.10.19>

⑤ 방송미디어통신위원회는 제1항에 따른 신고 또는 제3항제3호에 해당하는 사항에 대한 변경신고를 받은 경우 그 내용을 검토하여 이 법에 적합하면 신고를 수리하여야 한다. <신설 2018.4.17, 2025.10.1>
