주민등록법 시행령 제18조(본인의 신고 등)

① 법 제11조제1항 단서 및 법 제12조 단서에 따라 본인이 신고를 할 때에는 세대주나 세대 또는 합숙사를 관리하는 사람의 확인을 받아야 한다. 다만, 세대주나 세대 또는 합숙사를 관리하는 사람의 확인을 받을 수 없으면 읍ㆍ면ㆍ동장 또는 출장소장의 사실조사로써 갈음한다. <개정 2014.12.31>

② 법 제11조제2항 본문 및 같은 항 제2호에 따라 본인 또는 본인의 위임을 받은 사람이 신고를 할 때에는 세대주의 확인을 받아야 한다. 다만, 세대주의 확인을 받을 수 없으면 읍ㆍ면ㆍ동장 또는 출장소장의 사실조사로써 갈음한다. <신설 2014.12.31>

③ 법 제11조제2항 본문에 따라 재외국민 본인이 신고를 할 때에는 재외국민 본인의 입국 여부를 확인할 수 있는 자료를 함께 제출해야 한다. 다만, 재외국민 본인이 「전자정부법」 제36조제1항에 따른 행정정보의 공동이용을 통한 출입국에 관한 사실증명 자료의 확인에 동의하는 경우에는 그 확인으로 해당 자료의 제출을 갈음할 수 있다. <신설 2019.2.8>
