국민건강증진법 제12조(보건교육의 실시 등)

①국가 및 지방자치단체는 모든 국민이 올바른 보건의료의 이용과 건강한 생활습관을 실천할 수 있도록 그 대상이 되는 개인 또는 집단의 특성ㆍ건강상태ㆍ건강의식 수준등에 따라 적절한 보건교육을 실시한다. <개정 2016.3.2>

②국가 또는 지방자치단체는 국민건강증진사업관련 법인 또는 단체등이 보건교육을 실시할 경우 이에 필요한 지원을 할 수 있다. <개정 1999.2.8>

③보건복지부장관, 시ㆍ도지사 및 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 제2항의 규정에 의하여 보건교육을 실시하는 국민건강증진사업관련 법인 또는 단체 등에 대하여 보건교육의 계획 및 그 결과에 관한 자료를 요청할 수 있다. <개정 1997.12.13, 1999.2.8, 2008.2.29, 2010.1.18>
