재난 및 안전관리 기본법 제21조(해외재난상황의 보고 및 관리)

① 재외공관의 장은 관할 구역에서 해외재난이 발생하거나 발생할 우려가 있으면 즉시 그 상황을 외교부장관에게 보고하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23>

(1) When웬 an앤 overseas오우^v버시즈 disaster디재스터 has해즈 occurred어커드 or오 is이즈 likely라이클리 to투 occur어커 within위^ð딘 their^ð데어 jurisdiction,주^r러스딕션 the^ð더 heads헤즈 of어^v브 diplomatic디플러매틱 missions미션즈 abroad어브^r로드 shall섈 immediately이미디어틀리 report^r리포트 the^ð더 situation시추에이션 to투 the^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 Foreign^f포^r런 Affairs.어^f페어즈

② 제1항의 보고를 받은 외교부장관은 지체 없이 해외재난 발생 또는 발생 우려 지역에 거주하거나 체류하는 대한민국 국민(이하 이 조에서 "해외재난국민"이라 한다)의 생사확인 등 안전 여부를 확인하고, 행정안전부장관 및 관계 중앙행정기관의 장과 협의하여 해외재난국민의 보호를 위한 방안을 마련하여 시행하여야 한다. <개정 2013.8.6, 2014.11.19, 2017.7.26>

(2) Upon어판 receiving^r러시^v빙 a어 report^r리포트 under언더 paragraph패^r러그^r래^f프 (1), the^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 Foreign^f포^r런 Affairs어^f페어즈 shall섈 without위^ð다웃 delay딜레이 confirm컨^f펌 the^ð더 safety세이^f프티 of어^v브 nationals내셔늘즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 Republic^r리퍼블릭 of어^v브 Korea코^r리아 who후 live라이^v브 or오 are아 staying스테이잉 in인 the^ð디 area에^r리아 where웨어 an앤 overseas오우^v버시즈 disaster디재스터 has해즈 occurred어커드 or오 is이즈 likely라이클리 to투 occur어커 (hereinafter히^r리내^f프터 referred^r러^f퍼드 to투 as애즈 "nationals내셔늘즈 affected어^f펙티드 by바이 an앤 overseas오우^v버시즈 disaster"디재스터 in인 this^ð디스 Article),아터클 including인클루딩 whether웨^ð더 they^ð데이 are아 alive,얼라이^v브 and앤드 shall섈 prepare프^r리페어 and앤드 implement임플러먼트 measures메저즈 to투 protect프^r러텍트 them^ð뎀 in인 consultation칸설테이션 with위^ð드 the^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 the^ð디 Interior인티^r리어 and앤드 Safety세이^f프티 and앤드 the^ð더 heads헤즈 of어^v브 relevant^r렐러^v번트 central센트^r럴 administrative어드미너스트^r레이티^v브 agencies.에이전시즈

③ 해외재난국민의 가족 등은 외교부장관에게 해외재난국민의 생사확인 등 안전 여부 확인을 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 외교부장관은 특별한 사유가 없으면 그 요청에 따라야 한다. <신설 2013.8.6>

④ 제2항 및 제3항에 따른 안전 여부 확인과 가족 등의 범위는 대통령령으로 정한다. <신설 2013.8.6>
