동물보호법 제27조(기질평가위원회의 권한 등)

① 기질평가위원회는 기질평가를 위하여 필요하다고 인정하는 경우 평가대상동물의 소유자등에 대하여 출석하여 진술하게 하거나 의견서 또는 자료의 제출을 요청할 수 있다.

② 기질평가위원회는 평가에 필요한 경우 소유자의 거주지, 그 밖에 사건과 관련된 장소에서 기질평가와 관련된 조사를 할 수 있다.

③ 제2항에 따라 조사를 하는 경우 농림축산식품부령으로 정하는 증표를 지니고 이를 소유자에게 보여주어야 한다.

④ 평가대상동물의 소유자등은 정당한 사유 없이 제1항 및 제2항에 따른 출석, 자료제출요구 또는 기질평가와 관련한 조사를 거부하여서는 아니 된다.
