주민등록법 시행령 제8조(주민등록번호의 정정)

① 법 제7조의3제1항에 따른 주민등록번호의 정정 요구는 별지 제7호서식에 따른다. <개정 2017.5.8>

③ 주민등록이 되어 있는 거주지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장(이하 "주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장"이라 한다)은 주민등록번호를 부여한 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장(이하 "번호부여지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장"이라 한다)으로부터 법 제7조의3제2항 본문에 따른 통보를 받은 경우에는 정정통보서에 따라 개인별 및 세대별 주민등록표(이하 "주민등록표"라 한다)를 정정하여야 하며, 같은 항 단서에 따라 주민등록번호의 부여사실을 확인하지 못하였다는 통보를 받은 경우에는 법 제7조의2제1항에 따라 주민등록번호를 직접 새로 부여하여 주민등록표를 정정할 수 있다. <개정 2017.5.8>

④ 주민등록지의 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 제3항에 따라 주민등록번호가 정정되거나 법 제7조의4제3항에 따라 주민등록번호의 변경 결정을 통지받은 사람이 주민등록증을 이미 발급받은 사람이면 종전의 주민등록증을 회수한 후 주민등록증을 재발급하여야 한다. <개정 2017.5.8>
